Faber’s Road Shoot ‘Em Up

And while the West lost yet another Hyde, a group of minors from Belize City barely managed to escape with their lives when they found themselves in a high-speed chase with police.

The whole incident was caught on a southside surveillance cam, Here is all played out.

It's the surveillance tape that over the weekend shocked the city and put fear into the ordinary man, woman, and child that could have been walking down Central American Boulevard on a Sunday afternoon.

A shootout with police that was over in a flash but left the perpetrators seriously injured.

"We have a 21-year-old that showed up at the Karl Heusner last night with a gunshot injury that we believe may have been an occupant of that vehicle. We, our investigators are on the ground as we speak canvassing that area. This may have begun on Faber's road sometime earlier around 4:00 yesterday when police pursued a dodge van."

Daniel Ortiz:
"Can you tell us why, what drew the police attention to that van, why there was a chase in the first place?"

"Like I said on Faber's Road, occupants of that vehicle exited and opened fire on some persons in the yard and police were not too far from that area and hearing these shots police pursued that vehicle."

That chase took the cops thought the southside streets and culminated here when the van made spun out at the corner of Central American and Jane Usher Boulevards.

"These persons exited and like I said our Officers canvassed that area immediately."

And what happened to the 21-year-old gunman, Yearwood says he showed up at around 8:00 last night and remains in the hospital.

"He is currently under police guard and we are hoping that at the end of this investigation we would be able to levy charges."

"I have also been informed by investigators that other occupants of the vehicle were believed to be a 17-year-old minor and a 16-year-old that is being sought by police as we speak, no."

Police ask that anyone with information that could lead to arrest come forward, even anonymously, to help investigators make their arrests.

Rudolph Serrano and Kenyon Cherrington are both admitted in a stable condition and Kiron Williams is admitted in a critical but stable condition.
