The BDF has a new Commandant. On Saturday morning, the Sir Colville Young Parade Square was the scene as Brigadier General Cedric Borland handed over the sword and the colors that signify leadership to his successor Brigadier General Lloyd Gillett. In a symbolic act, Borland handed the sword first to the head of state, the Governor General, who then passed it over to Gillett. Borland now takes up the post of Project Manager at the soon to be created National Coast Guard Service.
