While police have made no arrests in that murder, today they charged the two
young men they say were involved in last Wednesday’s murder of Glenford
Matura. Today 25 year old Lionel “Peggy” Neal was charged with murder
and 18 year old Michael Kerr was charged with conspiracy to commit murder. No
plea was taken and both young men were remanded to the Hattieville Prison until
May 6th.
Matura who worked for BM L was sweeping drains on Euphrates Avenue at around
7 on Wednesday morning. He took a break and was having breakfast when he was
ambushed by a gunman who opened fire.
Matura was hit in the left temple, twice in the buttocks, and once in the right
hand. He died at about an hour later on the operating table at the KHMH.
