41 year-old Canadian Christina Pott is very fortunate to be alive after a burglar broke into her room and stabbed her 4 times.Pott was staying at a resort on San Pedro.
It is not certain at this time if her attacker was attempting to steal her belongings, but she woke up to this knife wielding assailant who was standing in the bedroom beside her. Here’s what police had to say today about the incident today:

"The aggravated burglary happened on Sunday the 12th of August sometime after 4:30 PM. San Pedro Police responded to Mora Laguna Resort which is located about a mile off San Pedro, the north side and upon arrival they met a female by the name of Christina Adrianna Pott; 41 years old Canadian domestic, she was observed with 4 apparent stab wounds to the body. She was taken to the Polyclinic where she was admitted and she was just discharged this morning and her injuries were classified as grievous harm. What police has gathered so far is that about 4 in the morning she was awaken by some noise coming out of her room and when she opened up her eyes she realized somebody was standing beside her. As a result she struggled with the male person who at the time was armed with a knife and a result she received the first stab wounds to her body."

"Up to this moment she cannot determine if anything was stolen from inside of the house or any of the rooms."

"Did she say how she believed the thief entered her home?"

"Apparently there was a break in from one of the windows where the person gained entry into the house."
Pott is expected to make a full recovery.
