Gilbert Sebastian Nunez, Pleas for son's release
"My son is still at prison locked down for something that he didn't do. I have no objection with the police job or what they are doing, but I know and I believe that my son is innocent. He didn't do anything out of the way. He is not a menace to society. I just came to ask and plea, please Governor General, please help me sir look into the matter. Please Prime Minister, please Minister of Security, please Mr. Patrick Faber, please help me sir look into the matter. My son is to go back on Thursday 20th in the BDF for his medical. I am asking and pleading, I am begging with all due respect to look into the matter for me."

"The youth wants to uplift his life. He doesn't want to live a life like his father - back and forth to prison for doing the wrong things. I don't want to get the youth like that. I feel proud that the youth wants to do something with his life. He wants to join the BDF."

Nunez says his son was on his way to wash cars from his home in the Emergency Zone when he was picked up. He says his son has no criminal record. He is one of 40 men jailed, out of 110 who were initially detained.
