Family Says Shooting Victim Needs Blood
posted (September 18, 2019)
Last night, we shared breaking news about the city shooting of 31-year-old Joseph Rowland. Tonight, we have a few more details.

It happened at around 6:30 when Rowland, a mechanic from Pelican Street, and another man were standing in front of Rowland's home. The other man went there to pick up a generator that Rowland had only just finished repairing for him. While the two were discussing the generator and its repairs, a vehicle drove past Rowland's residence, and a man then shoved a gun out the window and opened fire on the two of them. Only Rowland was injured, and the bullet injured him to the right buttocks.

Reports we received indicated that Rowland was rushed to the KHMH in a stable condition, but when we spoke with his family, they told us that he is in need of a large donation of blood for his medical treatment. His common-law wife declined on-camera comment.

Our archives also indicate that in April 2017, Rowland and another man were the victims of another drive-by shooting attempt.
