DHS Says San Pedro Not A Risk
posted (March 23, 2020)

And indeed, the reaction on San Pedro has been almost as if you’d heard there was a case of the plague, or ebola - such is the state of public terror.

Surely, this patient zero has not infected the whole island.  Manzanero says that town - with a population of about 12,000 remains at low risk overall:

Dr. Marvin Manzanero - Director of Health Services
"Not everybody who is San Pedro is at risk, so it doesn't mean that because you're in San Pedro two weeks ago and now you're visiting here because we're getting all these calls and people are going a little bit over board in terms of the reaction, we can understand that, but if you're listening to the instructions we're trying to bring across to everybody in terms of not panicking and following what we're saying, we should be able to handle the situation. So not everybody that's coming out of San Pedro is to be quarantined, we have asked for that 48 hour window so for us to be able to do the mapping exercise and then you make determinations based on that to see how much of the potential population could have been affected."
