posted (March 24, 2020)

And, there disruption in regular bus service is also affecting the COVID response. That’s because many Ministry of Health employees depend on it every day. DHS Manzanero told us more:

Dr. Marvin Manzanero - Director of Health Services
"The bus that stop running from the north is another headache for us because health staff, lab staff is primarily from the northern part of Belize, so they will have to stay now in Belize. We now have to find lodging, hotels are closed, so we are trying to see how we can accommodate the staff that commutes to and from all the different areas because that staff coming to Belize City but we have staff travelling between Orange Walk and Corozal and I think some runs from the West for cut off, so some of the staff had leave at 3 PM today. So that's turning to become a rather complicated situation."
