Women Pay The Price For Harbouring Male Gang Members
posted (March 26, 2020)

At the start of the citywide state of emergency police publicized wanted posters for a multitude of fugitives most of whom were wanted for the offense of being a member of a gang. At the time Commissioner of Police Chester Williams claimed to know where the majority of the fugitives had run to and he warned their friends and family members not to be caught harboring or giving shelter to men who were actively being sought by police because they too could face charges.

And so said, so done. Police have spent the last 3 days rounding up four of those fugitives they are: Ainsworth Foreman, Jeffery Buller, Lionel Longsworth, and Oniel Ferguson. And while tonight those men are sitting in the Hattieville prison on the charge of gang offenses under the state of emergency but they aren’t the only ones charged with a crime. That’s because all four men were hiding out with family and associates.

On Tuesday, March 24th Ainsworth Foreman was found in the Belama 4 area. He was in the company of 41-year-old Kendra Foreman and 22-year-old Christine Carcamo, the next day Wednesday, March 25th Jeffery Buller and Lionel Longsworth were found in Ladyville they were in the company of 23-year-old Tarique Gillett and 23-year-old Teresita Vansen, and finally today Thursday, March 26th police managed to locate Oniel Ferguson in the company of 32-year-old Rondean Gillett. The associates of all four wanted men were themselves arrested and charged for the crime of harboring a person wanted by Law Enforcement for a Gang Related Offence.
