And screening is also being done for people who show up with the regular flu. You may or may not know it, but we are in the height of the annual flu season, which is being treated with more vigilance because of the prospect of COVID-19. Dr. Russell explained how they’re managing the co-occurrence of two flu’s:

"Do remember that we are in the flu season, we are having an increase in cases, with that though we need to be very cautious as how we're managing these and looking at these cases. For example, we have seen an increase of flu like illness in the past week, with that we're actually trying to go down and look at a more in detail where these cases are being seen at the district level. We can tell you that there is an increase, nation-wide, there is an increase of flu like illnesses but we need to pay particular interest to certain districts as well. Of course, that will be coming after but we're still looking at individual district level data but we are seeing increase cases right now. Indeed this is what we're seeing and I believe that these increase in cases might continue to be seen in the coming weeks as well."
