And the Belize Red Cross says that it is ready to help the government and people of Belize in whatever way it can during this pandemic.
The humanitarian network say that they’ve been liaising with their partners from the Ministry of Health and that their staff is ready to answer whatever call for help their office may receive during this era of COVID-19.
We spoke with the Director-General of the Red Cross this evening via telephone for social distancing purposes, and here’s what she told us:
The Director-General also told us that the Red Cross is trying to source funds to purchase personal protective equipment to distribute to the frontline healthcare providers and members of the public.
