Of course, with so many jobs lost - particular in the tourism sector - many people straight up don't even have money to buy food whether it is available or not!
We note that the COVID 19 financial assistance forms still have not been posted on the COVID19.BZ website up to this evening. No doubt, there is growing desperation and fear for the future - especially among the newly jobless. And tonight they went to know when they will be able to get that $150.00 in bi weekly assistance.
Today, the Prime Minister said that help is on the way:

"There will be add-ons to the disbursement of money to our unemployed, which disbursements start this week and will also initially utilize the contributions made by BEL, BWSL and SSB."
"The additional funding that we will procure will augment the national ongoing BOOST Initiative that also already puts cash in the hands of our people; and we will also expand countrywide, including to the rural areas, the Ministry of Human Development's all-important food assistance program."
"Belizeans: I say again that you are not alone. Together we will overcome."
