The Head of the National Crimes Investigation Branch was very brief when we asked him about reports that Deputy Police Commissioner Edward Broaster caught a police officer engaging in public drinking in a time when everyone should be at their homes.
7News has obtained a video clip that Broaster recorded this weekend when he came upon the officer who was allegedly imbibing in public. Here's that video, as well as ACP Myvette's response to our question on it:

"Will there be criminal, or will there be disciplinary charges in relation to what the video seems to indicate?"

"I have not seen the video. So, I will not comment on what I haven't seen. But, there are several Dawsons within the Belize Police Department. That is as far as I will go in relation to that."
We could not reach Broaster for comment.
