And while Dr. Garcia works at a private hospital in the US, here in Belize, private doctors will now join the effort to assist the senior technicians from the Ministry of health in strategizing, and in a hands-on capacity. The Prime Minister explained in his press statement an hour ago.

"The quarantine headed by Dr. Manza is under severe pressure and there is a need to provide assistance to them. These private sector, healthcare personnel that we have now drafted are prepared to assist, not just in terms of strategizing, because in order to defeat this deadly enemy, there has to be a great deal of planning, there has to be a great deal of coordination, there has a to be a great deal of analysis, there has to be a great deal of the processing of the empirical evidence that we have, in fact gathered from the experience of other countries. So these private sector health personnel will be task now to assist with strategizing with mapping out our battle plans, but also they are prepared to operate as well in a hands on capacity."
Of course, the key items in that national address was that there will be a 14-day lockdown for the Cayo District. These measures will go into effect at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
