According to Bernard this is just one of the many clean ups being conducted in preparation for hurricane season. As we have shown you, that preparation also includes prevention of flooding and water damage in flood prone areas. He discussed the preparedness plan:

"That plan is well underway as you may know we had our first big amount of rains from my reports I have received according to the reports I have received in respect to the rains that came the water ran off pretty easy, there are areas that still require some sort of maintenance I think we focus a lot of the six key flood prone areas and we may have to now look at the other areas, we may have to some extent not put in the work in some of the other areas, but our team is aware of that and our team is out to ensure that we at best, at best because you will never be able to alleviate full flooding, at best we are able to have the water flow off pretty quick."
"We have some in coney drive area, in the button wood area, behind the Belize Healthcare partners some of the streets that attach off coney drive some of them get flood, even streets along the seashore drive area I have some residents who reached out to me in respect to flooding in that area so there are areas that still require some maintenance."
