FIFA Executives will be meeting with the Minister of Sports and the Chairman of the Sports Council in a few minutes to weigh the status of Belize and its membership in FIFA.
The Belize National Selection made those deliberations that much more difficult by again dominating Montserrat when it played in San Pedro Sula yesterday evening.
Belize won the game three to one, leading to an aggregate score of eight to three in two games.
Daniel Jimenez scored the first goal in the 23rd minute and Deon McAuley was the star again, scoring the second goal in the 59th. minute. Luis Mendez scored one more goal for Belize after that.
Barring further suspension, Belize will join Bermuda, St. Lucia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Bahamas and the Dominican Republic in the World Cup qualifying draw on July 30 in Rio de Janeiro.
