Today, after the post mortem we spoke to the child's paternal grandmother and father - and they told us that they want the police to find out what really happened to the child:....

"I just came from the morgue just a few minutes ago and they did the autopsy and they claim that the baby died from suffocation. Right now we are leaving everything in the hands of the police for us to know that they can take it from there. It's not drowning, they ruled out drowning. They haven't found any evidence of drowning. They found that she was suffocated, that's what the death certificate says - suffocation."

"It's very hard, its heart wrenching because with everything happening we were saying all along that it was an accident. We didn't know really what happen. But confirmed from the autopsy that little Kaylee was suffocated. It's really painful at this time. My son is taking it very hard - the whole family is taking it hard at this time. It's so sad."

"The only thing that I want to know is if the mother knows about it. I don't want to accuse anyone. I dont think it was an accident. She didn't even call or text me or anything to see if I had the baby - to let me know that the baby is missing, instead she had the police pick up me for it. I don't know what else to say about that. I just want the law to work it out and get behind it to say who the baby was with - if she was with her aunt or who and how that gets to happen."

"I can't tell the way I feel right now. It's really hard and you know some of the things that I am hearing about the family - this is a family that sticks together, we have each other and the things that I am hearing about the family are not nice things. I leave everything to God. We as it started from the burning of the house - we say what we know and that's the way we have to do - what we know we say, we can't say what we don't know."

And so while the post mortem shows suffocation - and police say it is foul play - yesterday Diedra Trapp gave a remarkable interview - in which she flatly rejected the allegations that she had burned down her ex's home - or that she had somehow been involved in the death of baby Kaylee.

Here's what she told Monica Bodden yesterday:..

"When we went on the back verandah, I saw my baby in a bucket of water. It had a little bit of water - the big chlorine buckets. She was face down like she fell into the water. My mother got her, and we started to check her if she had a pulse. She didn't have any pulse, and that's how I found out that my daughter dead."

"This was after midnight?"

"Yes, this was after midnight last night."

Monica Bodden
"For those people who are saying that it's probably you, being capable of doing that to your own child, what would you say to those people?"

Deidra Pratt
"That's total nonsense because if Kevin never continued with his foolishness about this arson thing, I would have been at home to tend to my babies because I don't go anywhere. I have a 3 year-old, a 2 year-old, and a new-born. I have nowhere to go with 3 little babies. I stay home all day and take care of my babies until when he come home in the night for us to go and sleep."

Reports to us are that members of Deidra's family who were home at the time are being investigated for what is now being treated as a murder investigation.
