Knox Hard Life, From Hospital, To Jail to Bail
Fri, June 3, 2016
Zachary Knox - he's the 19 year old accused of shooting at Assistant Commissioner Chester Williams. Well tonight, the Belize City resident is out on ten thousand dollars bail. His attorney Oscar Selgado got bail from Supreme Court Justice Antoinette Moore. One of the conditions is that he must report weekly to the police station and another is that he must stay away from the victim - one of the victims in this case being ACP Chester Williams.

He met bail around 5:00 this evening, but with all that's happened to him since the shooting on May 12th - Knox might want to even stay away from the police station. That's because his mother alleges that that a dozen officers from the GSU and the Southside Strike Team put a vicious beating on him after he was caught.

Police have denied the allegations, but Knox was in the hospital for two weeks before appearing in court last Friday to be charged for one count of use of deadly means of harm upon Mark Vernon and one count of aggravated assault with a firearm up ACP Chester Williams.

Knox is due back in Court on July 22, 2016 when he will appear along with Justin Hyde, Devon Sankey and Larry Wright who are jointly charged with use of deadly means of harm upon Mark Vernon. They remain on remand without bail.
