A 26 year old man was killed in an accident last night in the area of Pueblo Viejo village in the Corozal District.

Police found a motionless man in a ditch off the Jalacte Road and his motorcycle was nearby.

Villager say that around 10:30 last night they heard a bang on the highway and found him there. Ollie concluded that he lost control of the bike around a curve hit the guard rail, and was tossed from the bike. He was wearing a helmet but it was smashed. He had a wound to the forehead and other injuries.

The deceased was determined to be 26 year old Nicholas Xol, a Belizean bartender from Big Falls village. His common law wife, who is a police officer said he left home around 6:15pm enroute to the neighbouring village of Santa Elena.
