There are new COVID-19 measures being implemented at the Magistrate's Court and the Supreme Court in Belize City.
As of yesterday, if you want to visit the precincts of the court, you'll have to abide by the new rules. As part of those new rules, the security guards will have to take your temperature, using thermometers that were distributed to the security staff today. We are told they were instructed to take the temperatures of everyone who tries to enter and exit the court area. There are supposed to be no exceptions, and even the Acting Chief Justice reportedly has to have her temperature checked before she can reach her office. Anyone with temperature readings of 100% Fahrenheit cannot enter the court area.
Yesterday was also the first day that a sanitization station was implemented as another requirement for visiting the court.
