It's been almost a year since Elizabeth II Queen of the United Kingdom and Belize passed away.

And since then there's been much debate about whether or not her face should continue to adorn Belize's currency notes.

But an answer to that much-debated question seemed to come earlier this week when Cabinet gave its approval for the Central Bank of Belize to print new currency notes and instructed that the new notes bear the image of Belize's National Heroes - Rt. Hon. George Price and Hon. Philip Goldson.

That decision isn't unexpected but when we went to the streets in the immediate aftermath of the Queen's death in September, it wasn't warmly received either. Here's a look back at what some Belizeans said when we asked them who should go on the money now.

The Prime Minister has said that the changes should be coming on stream closer to the end of the year.
