"When my son told me about the shooting, I told him well you don't need to worry, because are on our own way. I don't know what is happening in Hattieville. So then we went to our house. In the morning we got a call about 8am saying that it was Akeem, they were calling his name. In said what they are crazy, nobody can't call my son's name, because we were out most of the time on Sunday."
"He goes everywhere to buy, because he didn't do it. So now, Friday, 3 trucks load of police came, they disrespectful - they called my son all kinds of names and I tell them that they could do what they want, but nobody put their hands on my child, because I will take them where they need to go. I will take them to higher people and we will take it from there."
"From Friday they have him detained at the Queen Street police station until today. He came to court today and they charged him and this is it now."
"I want them to know I will not stop, because I have footage, I have where we were, everybody who was with us and they knew where we were."
