Moody spoke more about the recent rash of multiple fatalities on the highway. He says that as roads get better, it seems drivers are doing more speeding on them - leading to more deaths:

Evondale Moody, Chief Engineer - MIDH
"What we found out on a number of the highways that we're upgrading is that we have a problem with speeding. And so over the last two years, Mr Vasquez, the MIDH, through the emphasis of the minister, Minister Espat and also CEO Espat we have undertaken a countrywide campaign in terms of road safety."

"We have other roundabouts that we have constructed under the Phillip Goldson Highway - particularly the two new ones at the Remate Junction - North and South - and those have been completely lit as well, late last year. And we also have vehicular accidents occurring at these roundabouts and they are lit! They have all the signs similar to what we're doing at San Estevan. So we are kinda like amazed as to why these accidents are occurring."

Moody agrees that a lack of adequate enforcement is a major contributor to road traffic fatalities.
