Social Media Advertises Orgy, Chester Says Oh No
Fri, April 19, 2024
But while the ComPol is looking into that matter, he's also trying to find out details for a party scheduled for the summer. And no, he's not planning to crash the party but to kill it before it even happens. That's because, according to the flyer, it's an orgy that requires guests to pay $1,500 to enter.

But the ComPol is patting the brakes on the partygoers because he says it's promoting prostitution. Here's how he explained it today.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Of course, the flyer is basically advertising sex for money, it says that you pay $1,500 and you can __ all you want. That is prostitution, it's like you're paying for sex. Such parties are both illegal and immoral and as a police department we're not going to sit and see that happening, we're going to do all we can to make sure it does not occur."

Courtney Menzies:
"Have you traced the number on the flyer to somebody in particular?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Yes, we know who the number belongs to and we have been trying to get information but the person controlling the number is very cagey, in terms of not wanting to release much information so we have done as much as we can, even setting up people to do certain things and we're still not getting what we want and so I put the information out for the public, in the event there might be one who knows exactly where it is going to be held and they can give us that information and we'll be able to act."

Courtney Menzies:
"In the event that the police are able to prevent the party, what kind of charges can be levied, if it doesn't actually take place?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Well we'd have to look at the legislation, like I said prostitution is an offense so we have to see if that is a part thereof and if we can prove prostitution then we can go that route. We may be able to look at other offenses but again, we need to consult the criminal code to see what if anything we'll be able to do."
