He Took Clients' Money And Never Did The Job, Attorney Reprimanded And Fined
Tue, May 14, 2024
In mid-March we told you how attorney Bryan Neal had been found guilty of misconduct by the General Legal Council. Neal had been retained by a property owner to evict a tenant, but decided not to follow up on it. Problem is, he never communicated that to his client and never returned his five thousand dollar retainer.

Well, he has returned it now - and that is one of the mitigating factors that the Council looked at when it made its decision on what penalty to impose.

The council noted that he was sincere and contrite in his statement to them. They found that his misconduct was, quote, "on the lower end of the scale." With that they decided against a suspension from practice and decided instead on a reprimand and a fine of $3,500 dollars.
