| Tonight, Belize has lost a true musical icon.
Jenny Lovell, one of the most important voices in Belize's musical history, has died.
And though her performing days are mostly behind her, Lovell has a second life as a hugely popular KTV judge. So, the news this morning sent shock waves throughout the country.
Shantel Neal looked at her legacy:
Jenny Lovell was a United States military retired navy officer. She died at her home in Belmopan at age 73 leaving behind a host of family, relatives and friends.
According to reports, she was treated yesterday evening at the Western Regional for distressed berthing and other symptoms. She was then discharged. This morning at 7:00, her family called for an ambulance but it was too late by the time one got there.
