"A profit and loss balance sheet as a responsible town council we have always posted that on our Facebook page every month we post that so it's just a mischievous act I would say and I'm sure it's one of my council members that took a snapshot and right after the meeting he was in the administrators office discussing the issue and I can tell you that the administrator went through this with me about two weeks ago and I said to him sir the best person to make clarification is the accountant and why didn't he take the time and get the accountant to explain to him if he doesn't understand it's simply mathematics man, when you are in school common sense you don't understand something you go to the teacher and ask the teacher what you don't understand and you it will disallow you to make false allegations and great perception and mischief so there is nothing wrong with that I mean. What happened there is that for example is what was not spent in March and April was spent in May it's nothing wrong with that. We have a contract with a company that provided the license so out of that I think that's what they are talking about that's what we pay the 43k to for so many months but there is nothing to hide. I mean like I said we have been one of the most transparent councils and one of the councils in the country of Belize that is more financially stable. So it's just false allegations and I can tell you it's trying to create mischief. The following day this guy and I will mention this name, because I think he just does things mischievously, Hugh O Brien, he called me and said mayor I have, I understand that there have been allegations of financial mismanagement or corruption in the council I said sir you're talking nonsense whoever is alleging that let them come to the council and point out where the corruption is and I will do the clarification but you know they are just mischievous and political and they are trying to create perception there so they are just crazy people so it doesn't matter to me. I know what I stand for I stand for principles and values I am clean and they can go there whenever they want and point out where the corruption is so it doesn't matter to me."

We reached out to Hugh O'Brien who told us that he deleted the article because it does not reflect a true financial report.

And apart from the tensions involving financial management within the council, Trapp is also faced with finding a new town administrator after his third town administrator Anthony Cal resigned recently.
