And coming back now to Belize City...
When Winston Tanga James was killed in a gangland execution in January of 2022, it sent shockwaves through the city.
He was a prominent gang figure and he was killed in the turf of another gang. His infamous girlfriend Mary Beth Wade narrowly escaped death herself.
It was rumored to be a gang hit and now almost three years later police have charged a man for the crime.
He is Azzane Domingo, a 20 year old of the Blues Street Area - who would have been 17 at the time of the shooting.
ACP Romero told us why the charge has been brought now:

"There was not enough evidence at the time but now evidence has surfaced, so the arrest has been made now."
Romero said Domingo was already in custody at Kolbe on other charges at the time of his arrest. He has been charged with Murder, Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Wounding - the last three are for shooting Marybeth Wade.
