And from books to sports, over at the National sports council, today they officially handed over the 2024 CODICADER Jerseys for the XXI (21st) edition of the CODICADER games set to take place in El Salvador on October 2nd to the 11th. The Minister of Sports gave us more details.

"Well if you can recall last year Belize hosted CODICADER it cost us over 200K to host. And now we are traveling to Salvador and that in itself has an expense of 50K BZ dollars. Because we have to make sure we provide for the athletes and we have to make sure everyone is registered and to register one athlete I think it is $60 US. And if you multiple that by 167 that is over ten thousand US dollars just for registration. We have to buy uniforms and gears for the young people as they travel. It's under 18 sports going on in El Salvador starting the 2nd of October 2024."

"I think we are filling in football, basketball volleyball, Judo and athletics so five different disciplines under 18."
