But the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister were in Mexico City today for the change of presidential command for President-Elect, Dra. Claudia Sheinbaum. Sheinbaum is from the same party as her predecessor Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador - and cordial relations with the Briceno Administration are expected to continue.
The Prime Minister will return to the country on October 3, 2024. During his absence, Hon. Cordel Hyde, Minister of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining, will hold over as Prime Minister.
