Belize's #1 Social Media Personality Tied Up And Terrorized In Home Invasion
Mon, October 7, 2024
She's got 1.2 million followers on Instagram, hundreds of thousands on TikTok - and tens of thousands of followers on adult websites - and that makes Flowayne Colon aka Shaniki Hernandez the most famous Belizean on social platforms.

But, that didn't protect her from a home invasion over the weekend at her residence in Belize City. She told me a story that went from amusing to horrifying in a few seconds:

Social Media Influencer, and adult content creator Flowayne Colon known professionally Shanikki Hernandez was the victim of a robbery in her own home on Sunday.

Colon and her family rent this apartment off Durgeon Drive, when just after 1:00 am a man entered the home and made his way upstairs where Colon was doing an Instagram live. She claims that at first she thought he was a friend.

Flowayne Colon, Burglary victim
"I was live on Instagram and another private page that I use so basically I was live on Instagram and another page."

"I heard the door open and I knew immediately something was wrong and I looked back like this cause my family told them. Remember I told you I brought my entire family here and I explain everything to them so they know they cannot be upstairs not for nothing. They know that I make money upstairs."

"I turned around and in my head it was a police officer. Yeah a police officer, combat boots and everything and he told me he came to me and he told me oh it's role playing you like no? It's role playing you like and so that made me think he was a friend. So I thought he was a friend of mine."

It wasn't until the assailant got a hold of Colon and she claims he zip tied both her hands and feet, that's when she realized that she had become the victim of a home invasion.

Jo
"Do you know him or did you recognize him?"

Flowayne Colon, Burglary victim
"I asked him that sentence and he came behind me. I still kept thinking this is a friend of mine, and he went behind me and then he pulled my hands behind my back and then. Trust me I thought it was a joke. I didn't think this was real. He put my hands behind my back and he tied me up with the cable. A Zip tie. He started zip, tying my hands, and that's when I started crying."

"Then he zip tied my feet and I started crying and he told me you're annoying me, you are annoying me. And also, he told me not to look at my face."

Jo-
"Was his face covered?"

Flowayne Colon, Burglary victim
"He had a GSU police thing, yeah GI3."

According to a police report the assailant made off with more than 6k in goods, but Colon says it was more than that. Since the incident she has withdrawn her report from the police, because she suspects she might know the persons behind the incident, and knows what it is that they want from her.

Flowayne Colon, Burglary victim
"Just my three phones."

Jo-
"Anything else?"

Flowayne Colon, Burglary victim
"My Gucci purse."

Jo-
"Because the report said he took like almost $6000 worth of things."

Flowayne Colon, Burglary victim
"The report isn't even correct. He took more than that. My Gucci purse cost more than that. He took my Gucci purse with $52. I don't keep cash on me. He took my two US debit cards and my business debit card. He took that also."

"So there's a female behind this. I have over 1.2 million followers just on Instagram, I have so much other social medias I have so much other media that I make money. They want my entire everything , they want everything, they want my Instagram, my Fambase they want everything that makes me money. Everything that makes me money. Is what these people want."

Notably in a video posted after the incident she claims she invited the person upstairs but later told us that he entered the house uninvited. A confusing narrative, and police would only say they have no suspects at this time

ACP Hilberto Romero, OC Eastern division
"We are following up on that report investigators are out there trying to look for video footage and other evidence that is the information we have that 2 cellular phones were stolen and we have no suspects at this time."

Jo
"Did she mention he was dressed in GI3 clothing?"

ACP Hilberto Romero, OC Eastern division
"No, I'm not aware of that detail in that report."

"I will need to look further into that report again. That report is what was initially reported and so the investigation continues as soon as more details are available then we can share it."

As Colon has indicated, she has withdrawn her criminal complaint, so it's unlikely police will charge anyone.
