| Another Teenager Killed On Motorcycle, This Time Kristian Was 19 |

There's been another fatal motorcycle accident - this time in the Orange Walk district. It happened last night at the junction of The Phillip Goldson Highway and the San Roman, Rio Hondo Road. 53 year old Gustavo Cardenas rear ended a Meilun motorcycle driven by 19 year old Kristian Baeza. They were both headed in the same direction. The massive impact launched the teenager onto the pavement where he died from major traumatic injuries.
Police told us more today:

"The driver of the Ford Explorer was identified as Gustavo Cardinez and the person driving the motorcycle was identified as Christian Baeza. Christian Baeza was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. An investigation was carried out and Gustavo Cardinez is in custody pending charges referencing this fatal road traffic accident."
"Information is that the pickup hit the motorcycle from behind causing the fatal injuries to Christian Baeza."
Gustavo Cardenas was escorted to the NRH to obtain a blood sample which police say he refused to provide.
We note that this is not the first fatality he has been involved in. 21 years ago in 2003, Cardenas was driving when his Jeep Cherokee had a head on collision with a van - where two men were killed, including police officer Lincoln Kellyman.
