The poll - which reached out to just under a thousand people and had a 3% margin of error found that - "the current potential ranges of national support in the next Belize elections stand at 44% to 59% for the PUP and 31% to 47% for the UDP."

That means that if they really get their act together - and that is a huge IF - the UDP could make a surge. What would they have to do? Olson says it's simple: stop tallying about themselves - and he says the UDP could come close to an upset like the PUP did in 2012:

"The poll found that "the UDP is currently polling between 42% and 44%...at 42% national support, the UDP can expect to win 5 constituencies, with 4 additional areas being competitive."
