Convicted Of Murder, Tevin Loses Final Appeal
Tue, October 22, 2024
An application for leave to appeal that was made by convicted murderer, 32 year old Tevin Andrewin has been rejected by the Caribbean Court of Justice.

Andrewin was convicted of the murder of 28 year old Myrick Gladden, who was fatally shot in June of 2012.

Gladden, his common-law wife, Shianna Allen and Allen's brother, were walking on Complex Street, when the incident occurred.

Allen, who was the chief witness for the Crown, testified that she and Gladden were shot and that as she ran for cover, she saw the gunman standing over Gladden and firing shots at him.

Gladden was shot three times to his back, once to his liver and once to his chest. Before he succumbed to his injuries, he told police that it was Andrewin who shot him. His dying declaration was admitted as evidence.

In May, 2019, Andrewin was sentenced to life imprisonment with eligibility for parole after serving 25 years.

Andrewin has now exhausted all of his appeals.
