| Belizean-American Mother Says AI Led Son To Suicide |

| Belizean-American, Megan Garcia is making major news in the United States today after she launched a lawsuit against a platform named "Character AI". She appeared On "CBS Mornings", CNN and in the New York Times saying that platform induced her 14 year old son to take his own life back in February.
Today on CBS Morning in New York, Garcia told host, Gayle King, that she noticed that her son, Sewell Seltzer's behavior changed suddenly. He lost interest in his hobbies and was isolating himself. She didn't know that he had started using Character AI and was intimately speaking to a bot posing as a character from the Game of Thrones series.

Garcia was born and raised in Belize, and is the daughter of former radio personality, Anne Wade.
