| NEMO Minister: "It's Been An Extraordinary Year" |

| There is currently a flood warning in effect for the Central and Northern region, rivers and their tributaries. And of course, there is also a tropical disturbance which is now being forecast to become a tropical cyclone within 7 days.
Storms in November are normally very rare - but in the era of climate change, strange is the new normal.
The NEMO Minister commented on it today:

"2024 has been an extraordinary year. I've seen and the month of April may be the other side of of of the of climate change, you know, the extreme drought. And during that extreme drought, we saw the fires that erupted in the Toledo district and the Cayo district. Now, here we are six months later, and we are in a reverse. Where we were in desperate need of water 6 months ago and now here is a flood of water."
