Why Did CitCo Greenlight A Speedbump on Regent Street?
Mon, November 4, 2024
And we also asked the mayor about a recent speed bump erected on Regent Street, near Brodies. It's a main road and a bit of an inconvenience, but Wagner said it was necessary to slow down traffic at that location.

Clifford Mejia:
"Why did the council feel the need to place a speed bump on a Main Street?"

Bernard Wagner, Mayor of Belize City
"To ease speeding. [laughs]. So the traffic committee decided to install that speed bump there. I hope it saves some lives."
