And, from a man murdered to another free of murder charges - after four years on remand. 26 year old maintenance worker, Leeroy Bardalez who was charged for the murder of Ricky Miguel and injuring Thalia Westby during a shooting on September 7, 2020 on Fabers Road.
But he walked free today after entering a nolle pros motion was entered. Bardalez was informed that the case could not continue because the crown's two witnesses did not wish to testify and, with that, the prosecution's case fell apart.
He was represented in court by Attorney Arthur Saldivar, before Justice Nigel Pilgrim while the DPP's office was represented by Sheiniza Smith.
