11 Year Old Boy Sent Home On Children's Day, Aunt Explains Complicated Family Situation
Fri, November 22, 2024
It's a story that began to take shape after it touched the hearts of many parents with a post on Facebook. The person who first uploaded the picture of an 11 year old schoolboy, claims that she stumbled across the little one this morning walking home in his school uniform, and stopped and asked him where he was going. He told her that he was going back home because they did not allow him into school because he could not pay $4.50 to be included in the school's children's day festivities.

The post spread across social media like wildfire, hundreds were outraged at the fact that not only was the child allegedly denied access to the school but also on a day dedicated to celebrating children. After getting in touch with one of Misael's relatives, we came to learn more about the unfortunate situation behind the circulating picture. The boy is being raised by his grandfather, and is a standard four student at San Roman RC School, Santa Clara, and according to his aunt, he has diverse abilities.

Voice of: Luciana Lin, Great Aunt of Misael Lin
"He went to school I saw him when he passed with his bag and cupcake and a plate of food but I didn't know anything until I saw it on Facebook, so I called his grandfather to come here and I asked him why did Misael come from school and he told me because he did not take $4.50 to pay school for children's day that's why he came back."

"I don't know he is not going to learn, he is a slow learner."

Jo-
"So he has a diverse ability right?"

Voice of: Luciana Lin, Great Aunt of Misael Lin
"Yes I think so because nobody cares of him, nobody he is just growing like I don't know how to say."

"His mother doesn't care of him, he doesn't even give a shilling to that boy."

Jo-
"Is there anything that he does need because you said that he only lives with his grandfather and he is having trouble learning at school."

Voice of: Luciana Lin, Great Aunt of Misael Lin
"Yes."

"Clothes and food that's it no money, no money because the money you know his grandfather loves to drink which is why I am always calling his grandfather when he comes here, and school supplies because he doesn't learn he has 12 exercise books and you can't see nothing there."

Those who wish to assist the boy can contact his aunt Luciana Lin at 633-2123.
