Halima Is Home | Fri, November 22, 2024 | |
This past weekend could best be described as a whirlwind experience for Miss Universe Belize Halima Hoy, who took to the International stage in Mexico City to compete among 125 candidates, vying for the title of Miss Universe 2024-2025.
In the end Denmark took home the title and Victoria Kjaer was crowned the new Miss Universe.
And while she didn't place or make it to the semi's when we met with Halima at the airport this morning she said she was grateful:
Halima Hoy, Miss Universe Belize
"I am feeling incredible to be welcomed by the drums and welcomed by the amazing people at BTB. I feel so proud to be back home after representing my country."
"It was like emotions building up we had a lot emotions, I felt sad at some point well not sad but just more like doubting myself a little but and at some point I feel excited just normal emotions that you go through when you are about to experience a huge life event but when I got on the stage I can tell you that all of that went away the pride of my country took over and I felt pretty comfortable on that stage so I'm proud of that."
