Shyne's Soaking Up The Spotlight While Tracy's Shoring Up Support
Mon, November 25, 2024
And while Shyne isn't worried about Diddy, he has to be worried about Tracy Panton. She yesterday sent a release saying -and showing - that eleven of the sixteen members of the UDP Executive in Cayo Northeast have signed letters endorsing her as the Leader of the UDP.

We asked Barrow about that:

Jules Vasquez
"While you are doing this, while you are in a publicity tour based town, your opponents are sharpening their knives. They today announced that the delegates from majority of the delegates from Cayo Northeast have signed on to support Tracy. She's saying that she has a, she sent a list of all the, all the constituencies where the delegates support her, so."

Shyne Barrow
"She can say whatever she wants, obviously, and she's very good at saying whatever she wants. But Justice Andora was very unsympathetic and very scathing in his attack as to their behaviour, which he felt that they were always going around what they were supposed to do, which is no different than what they do now."

"So it's like, you have someone fighting to be me when I'm fighting the people's fight against the government."

Jules Vasquez
"Yes, but I'm saying, the delegates."

Shyne Barrow
"According to her, according to her, she's the leader of the party. According to her, she could have taken over the headquarters."

Jules Vasquez
"At some point, you have to take this seriously."

Shyne Barrow
"No, I don't."

Jules Vasquez
"She has to sign support of the delegates of Cayo Northeast."

Shyne Barrow
"She can say she has whatever. That has not been authenticated. I have not heard anything from Mr. Fernandez. We have to focus on trying to win the next general elections. It is clear for everyone to see that her objective is to make sure that we lose the next general elections and to just fight with the UDP, fight with the leadership of the UDP, all the way up until the day of elections."

"That is their plan."

Panton's release says, quote, "This latest show of support brings the total number of constituency executives endorsing the new Party Leader to nineteen," - a number that Barrow clearly disputes.
