And while Panton is gearing up for court, Barrow has been busy promoting his documentary. It premiered at the Ramada this past weekend and it's been showing on the HULU streaming service for 10 days, but Panton says she still hasn't seen it. We kind of get the idea she's in no rush to see it either. But, she did praise the story told in the documentary, however, but she added that Barrow's redemption doesn't make him a viable leader.
Tracy Panton, Albert Area Rep.
"No I have not seen the documentary but certainly by all accounts, it's well done, it's a good story, it's a story about redemption, it's a story about resilience, it is a story that I hope will inspire and motivate our young people in our country. A good story however, doesn't make for a good leader."
Courtney Menzies:
"So you don't believe the, all the acclaims and praises that come with the documentary help Shyne's candidacy in his fight to maintain, or to get back leadership of the UDP?"
Tracy Panton, Albert Area Rep.
"I am sure that the documentary will help to share Shyne's story, and it's not only Shyne's story alone, it's a Belizean story, however, leadership and governance is not a made for television production. It is a being consistent and respectful of the constitution of the country, of the constitution of the party, and more importantly about listening and respecting the voices of the people."
