Earlier in the news we told you about the three cruise ships coming on Christmas day, but today all eyes were on one ship leaving Belizean waters for the UK.
It's the largest shipment of bulk raw sugar ever leaving Belize on one vessel.
It only took a few days for them to load up the 39 thousand metric tonnes of sugar onto the Federal Tiber ship. And today, it shipped out from the Big Creek Port in Stann Creek and is on its way to the UK. The shipment has a reported value of 45 million Belize dollars.
ASR/BSI as well as cane farmers are now gearing up for the start of the season on Friday.
