| UDP Puerto Pulls Out In Corozal Bay |

Ivan Puerto, he may not be a nationally known political name, but he is well known in Corozal where he was the UDP's candidate for Corozal Bay - elected in a convention in June of 2023.
After that, Puerto defected from Shyne Barrow's camp and emerged as a prominent and visible supporter in Tracy Panton's Unity Convention.
But, he has now resigned as standard bearer. Puerto confirmed to us today that he has tried to reconcile both sides, but he's made no headway - and for his own best interests, must move on at this time.
So, what happens next? Well, according to our sources both Team Tracy and Team Shyne are scrambling to meet with the constituency committee tomorrow to try to court their support.
