| And though no SOE seems to be in sight, the LIU chair person says that they continue to provide consistent mediation across all points of possible conflict in the city. She also explained why she believes an SOE is not an effective solution at this point.

"Mediation continues regardless; we have several other issues happening as well so mediation is always happening and we remain in the communities. I don't think an SOE is on the table, it is something that I have always said that on a personal and professional level I cannot support. But it is a tool that the political directorate uses. Well, I don't think at this point it is necessary: people are grieving and people are going through the changes that this loss will cause inevitably. And our job is to ensure that both the securitisation and peace building efforts remain parallel to each other and of course also intertwined."
