And while there are differing views on the role and the culpability of the school, the BNTU issued a statement in support of Stella Maris today.
Their statement says, quote, "This incident is by no means a true reflection of the vital pillar of success that is the Stella Maris School Institution. It has, for many years, provided stellar educational services to one of our most vulnerable Belizean populations and will continue to do so, despite the dark cloud which now hangs over it."
