Back in October 2022, a 17 year old high school student reported that she was raped after she left Eruption Night Club. She was found partially nude in an abandoned vehicle not far from the club. 27 year old Michael Flowers was later charged after a neighbor alleged that his surveillance cameras caught him walking with the girl the night of the incident.
Flowers was late to court yesterday and spent the night at the Belize Central Prison, but today his case was ultimately dropped. The DPP entered a case of nolle prosequi after the main witness - the complainant and alleged victim - refused to testify.
