The Family and friends of 6 year old Pablo Orellano, the Stella Maris student who drowned two weeks ago in the hangar area, may soon receive the closure that they need from the investigation. The Minister of Education told us today that the police are just about done with compiling the report and they are expected to meet with them and go over their findings before it is presented to the family.

"I think the ministry either today or tomorrow is having a meeting with the Belize Police Department, so that we can then finalise our own report, so that's where it is so I expect that that perhaps sometime next week, we will have a final report. Of course, we have committed to meeting with the family first. We want to meet with the families, share that report to the family first, discuss it with them, address any concerns and questions that they have regarding that report. Again and again, it's, it's an internal report. But as I promised and committed, when after we've done that and we've responded to their questions, we'll be very happy to share that report with the public." |
