And turning back now to the Queen Street Baptist Church. As we told you in our top story - it's more than a building, it's a corner store of the community especially for the descendants of enslaved persons who were brought to Belize.
But, while the church Pastor told us it was built in 1822, the historical records show that the present structure at the corner of Queen and Eve Streets was built in 1850.
The cost of the church building in 1850 was three thousand five hundred dollars and the contractor was George Braddick.
