You might call him a Trump deportee, but tonight 22 year old Kalefe Caceres is back behind bars in Belize after he was denied asylum in the US.
In October of 2024, Caceres beat a murder charge and left Belize for the USA, but was sent back home earlier this week.
Police receiving him realized that he had failed to show up for a court date. Today when he appeared in court for his inferior appeal case he was remanded on the strength of a bench warrant after failure to appear for an inferior court appeal.
Caceres has been remanded until May 19 2025. His mother informed the court that she sent him to the US. So the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
Caceres had beat the murder rap for the murder of Gerald Tillett Jr., the son of former George Street gang Gerald "Shiny" Tillett Sr.
He was denied entry after seeking asylum, being rejected and was deported as early as yesterday.
